Day 16 - Friday 14th July
Falkirk Wheel Ride
Weather: Cloudy and Drizzly all day
We set off from Carbeth House at 10:00 am and headed for Falkirk to get a ride on the wheel. When we got there at 11:15 am the next ride was at 12:00 am.
Just beside the Visitor's Centre there was this amazing "woven" horse and lady -
... and just inside was this wolf woven out of wire -
so we decided to have lunch in the visitor's centre
At 11:50 am we lined up with everybody else to get on the Antonine canal boat for the ride -
At 12:00 noon we were on our way up -
At the top there was a wait of a few minutes before we set off down the canal to the tunnel -
... to head back to the top of the wheel -
... and back down to the bottom.
