Weather: Cloudy with sunny spells - at last!

We did see heather on the way from Edinburgh to Ettrick , but it wasn't all in flower - just odd patches -

... as well as the Scotch Thistle -

And then there is this plant that is very common wherever you go - Rosebay Willowherb - I think -

There is a Holly here at the start of the walk round the Haining Loch -

... and further on a big old Sycamore -

... with a hanging bough -

Nearby is a likely hole in a tree for a bird or animal's nest -

On the walkway into Selkirk Town Centre the path is bordered by all these wild Raspberries. You often see people eating them or in one case a man collecting a container full -
