Day 22 - Thursday 20th July
Trams and The Water of Leith & Rental Car
Weather: A nice day - sunny with a bit of cloud
Here is a tram pulling into the MacDonald road stop on the Leith Walk. MacDonald Road is the road we use to walk from Blandfield - our AirBnB address - to the shops on the main road - Leith walk.
The tram is a great way to travel - every five minutes or so through the centre of Edinburgh to Newhaven at one end and the Airport at the other. Cost us about £2 for a single fare one way. Pay by credit card at the stop.
Because our AirBnB is close to the Port of Leith I had a look on the map and found the Water of Leith walkway, alongside the stream, within easy walking distance of here. So this afternoon, while the family were out visiting, I went for a little explore and found St. Marks footpath
... and the footbridge over to the other side of the water to where the actual Water of Leith walkway is.
I am going to do that tomorrow afternoon while the family are flying back to New York.
At 4:00 pm today I picked up my rental car from Enterprise Cars just off Leith Way in Annandale Street
