Selkirk - Peel Hill Castle
Weather: A grey drizzly day
I walked into Selkirk this morning through the woods and only had to backtrack once to get to the "hole in the wall", that takes me to the car park and the Town Centre.
forgetting that it was Sunday and everything was closed except for the Co-op, luckily, otherwise it would have bread and cheese for dinner! To my surprise I was able to get cash out of an ATM machine. I had thought that it had to be a Barclay's Bank to do that.
Walking along here I found a man - John King from Fife - who knew where the site of the Peel Hill Castle was. Here is the beginning of the track with the information Board missing its information -
... and actually took me up there to show me. There was nothing to see except trees and bushes -
