Day 19 - Monday 17th July
Dunbar - Tantallon Castle
Weather: This morning we set off quite early to go to Tantallon Castle before visiting Ross & Margaret at 11:00 am. Luckily it was quite a nice day.
The first view of the castle is quite isolated -
We walked up to the old bridge over the tranch -
... and out the other side -
The view, when I got through is huge -
There was an entrance way to the steps up to the top of the Castle wall -
The steps were pretty perilous with only a rope handrail -
Once at the top though the view was amazing -
In the distance was the Bass Rock covered in seabirds -
... with a North Sea Oil Rig on the horizon.
