Selkirk - The Haining Estate - Walkway to Selkirk & Dandy Dinmont Terriers

Weather:  Cloudy and then drizzly

Once I had got all my stuff up the stairs and had settled in, I went for a walk to see how to get back to Selkirk Town on the walkway  just below the old house being renovated -

... and into the woodland -

... along here I saw a Coot run off into the lake on the right and a squirrel run up a small shrub to the left.. There were the odd signposts to keep me on track -

... and eventually I got to the carpark through "The Hole in the Lang Dyke" which is the boundary between The Haining Estate and Selkirk Township-

At the back of the Haining Estate is a monument to Dandy Dinmont and his terriers -
