Weather: Cloudy with sunny spells

At 9:30 am I met Julian & Sue down in Selkirk Town Centre. From there we drove to Abbotsford, about a 20 minute drive, the home of Sir Walter Scott. There was this interesting sign under the parking machine -

Once paid we took the long walk down to the "House" -

... and found the entrance -

The house is a treasure trove of books, paintings and artifacts of all descriptions.

The gardens were beautiful - the foraml garden at the front -
